Where to farm

Diamantine comes from mission pickups and caches, then goes toward later equipment crafting steps at Hadron’s Shrine. Build a reserve with safe searches during missions and complete each run to bank what you gathered. Since the amount available and the cost of an upgrade can vary, use the Shrine preview to set a concrete target. Melk’s contract board may also include a Diamantine collection objective, which can overlap with the same mission loop.
Unlock access to Shrine crafting through normal progression.
Choose a mission the squad can complete.
Have a planned higher-tier upgrade or active contract to guide collection.
Inspect your target item at the Shrine and note its current Diamantine requirement, if any.
Check Melk’s weekly contracts for a Diamantine collection objective.
Queue a mission suitable for the team and begin the resource sweep along the route.
Search side areas and caches when the squad has secured the area.
Call out pickups and collect them before moving toward extraction.
Finish the mission so the gathered Diamantine is credited.
Repeat until funded, then return to the Shrine and confirm the current cost before spending.

Keep collecting Plasteel too; your planned upgrade may require both materials.
