Target Daemonhosts in Nurgle Hunts

Nurgle Hunt detours offer a focused opportunity to defeat Daemonhosts and check their drops during a Crusade.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Nurgle Hunt missions on an active Void Crusade map.

When a Nurgle Hunt is reachable on your active Crusade map, consider it as a gear detour: the documented route strategy identifies these Hunts as Daemonhost targets. Complete the Hunt, defeat the encounter, and inspect the drops. Treat useful gear as a possible result rather than a guaranteed relic, and weigh the detour against the lives and route progress you need for Supreme.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Five same-color Void Shards to enter a Crusade.
  • A Crusade map with a reachable Nurgle Hunt node.
  • A build capable of completing the Hunt and defeating its Daemonhost.
  • Enough remaining lives and route margin to take a detour.
  1. Start the Crusade and inspect connected mission nodes for a Nurgle Hunt.
  2. Check the route cost and your remaining lives before committing to the Hunt branch.
  3. Enter the Hunt mission and complete its stated objective while pursuing the Daemonhost encounter.
  4. Defeat the Daemonhost during the Hunt and collect the resulting drops.
  5. Inspect the gear for upgrades or items relevant to your build.
  6. Return to the map and reassess the shortest safe route toward a chest or Supreme.
  7. Continue only if the remaining detours still support your gear goal without endangering completion.

Farming tips

  • Prioritize the Daemonhost encounter during the Hunt instead of leaving it until the mission is nearly over.
  • Use the loot inspection to decide whether another gear-focused detour is worthwhile; no specific item is assured.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat in future Crusades when a Nurgle Hunt is reachable and the route remains practical. Each run requires new matching shards, and useful gear drops are not guaranteed.

Common mistakes

  • Skipping the Hunt objective while searching for the Daemonhost: complete the mission’s stated task as you pursue the encounter.
  • Treating the detour as free: account for mission time, difficulty, and remaining lives.
  • Expecting a particular relic: inspect actual drops and switch activities if the needed gear does not appear.

When to stop or switch

Stop taking Hunt detours once the gear target is met or the extra mission threatens a safe completion; resume the route to Supreme.
