Use Endrega nests for mutagen drops
Endrega activity in the woods near the Druid Camp on Skellige, with other nests in Velen and Novigrad as alternatives.
Before you go
- Reach an Endrega area appropriate to Geralt’s level.
- Prepare for Endrega attacks and bring the oils or combat tools you normally use against them.
- Have inventory space for monster parts and mutagens.
Farming steps
- Travel to an Endrega area; the woods near the Druid Camp are one Skellige option.
- Use Witcher Senses to find the nearby Endregas and identify the group before engaging.
- Defeat the Endregas, prioritizing threats that can interrupt your attacks or apply poison.
- Search each body for mutagens and collect other useful monster parts.
- Check whether the drops match your mutation plan; save colors and grades you still need.
- If the area is empty, travel elsewhere rather than waiting at an inactive nest.
- Return after leaving the area to check for renewed Endrega groups and repeat the clear.
- Higher-level Endregas are a possible red-mutagen source, but the drop color remains variable.
- Do not treat an intact nest as a reset button; the farm depends on enemies returning, not leaving a nest untouched.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat when Endrega groups return after you have left the area. This is a chance-based monster loop, not a guaranteed mutagen production method.
Common mistakes
- Do not assume every Endrega drops a mutagen; loot the group but plan around variable results.
- Do not choose an encounter that is far above your level just for a possible red; use a safer suitable area.
- Do not wait at an empty nest expecting an immediate refresh; travel away and check again later.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough mutagens for your next mutation slots, or switch to the Skellige Drowned Dead route if you want its defined two-stop circuit.
