WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Salvage menu at the blacksmith, including the Hidden Village blacksmith at Mt. Tianzhushan.
Salvage converts selected equipment into materials, while selling it returns Copper. Use salvage when you need Steel, Leather, or jewel fragments for a chosen improvement. Evaluate and lock pieces you want to keep before dismantling, especially gear with useful rarity or special effects.
Know which material or effect resource your intended upgrade needs.
Open the blacksmith service menu and choose Salvage.
Review the inventory list and identify duplicates or low-value pieces.
Lock or otherwise retain equipment you want to keep before selecting items for dismantling.
Check the resulting materials shown for each selected item.
Confirm salvage for the pieces you have evaluated.
Use recovered Steel or Leather in Upgrade, or jewel fragments in Embedment, as appropriate.
If Copper is the immediate need instead, choose Sell rather than Salvage.
Farming tips
Compare equipment effects and rarity before dismantling; an apparently spare item may carry an effect worth keeping.
Salvage only enough to meet a near-term crafting need, then reassess your remaining inventory.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable as you collect surplus equipment. Each salvage consumes the selected gear and returns the materials displayed by the blacksmith; it is not a guaranteed fixed yield.
Common mistakes
Selling when you need crafting material: use Salvage for materials and Sell for Copper.
Dismantling before evaluating: lock useful gear first.
Expecting salvage to create a finished upgrade: take the recovered materials back to the relevant Upgrade or Embedment service.
When to stop or switch
Stop once you have enough of the needed materials for the selected improvements, or when remaining gear may be useful to your build.
