WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Zone edges in Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar, or Voidstorm, chosen for the desired mote.

Choose your zone based on the mote you need, then gather deposits as you travel its edges. Zones differ in node density and terrain, so a productive ore route may be awkward or dangerous for a particular mote target.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Midnight Mining and access to the chosen zone.
  • Voidstorm access requires most of the campaign.
  • Optional: Over-LODED specialization for additional mote opportunities.
  1. Decide which mote type you need and check which Midnight zone corresponds to it: Light, Wild Magic, Primal Energy, or Pure Void.
  2. In Eversong Woods, follow the zone edges and mine deposits as you find them.
  3. In Zul’Aman, favor the edges and southern coast; mine orelings when encountered.
  4. For Primal Energy, use Harandar’s outer edge, but expect fewer ore deposits than in other zones.
  5. In Voidstorm, follow accessible terrain and mine eligible infused deposits; avoid dangerous ledges and hostile mobs when needed.
  6. Overload eligible deposits if you have the relevant specialization, then gather the extra resources.

Farming tips

  • Voidstorm is node-rich but has ledges and aggressive mobs; campaign access and safe movement matter.
  • Overloading can create a portal that sends you elsewhere unless you have the Void specialization unlock to return.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the zone circuit while deposits are available. Use gathered ore and motes in unlocked profession recipes or sell them.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing a zone before deciding on the mote wastes time; match the zone to the target first.
  • Treating Harandar as ore-dense creates a slow route; use it when Primal Energy is the priority.
  • Overloading without accounting for its portal can disrupt the route; unlock the return option or skip the overload.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the ore and mote quantity needed for crafting or sale, or switch zones if terrain or node scarcity slows your target.
