- Midnight Season 2 access.
- A group able to defeat the selected Lair boss.
- Access to the Lair activity and its current reward information.
Farming steps
- Open the Season 2 activity interface and identify an available Lair boss.
- Review the activity’s difficulty and reward status before joining.
- Form or join a group suited to the selected encounter.
- Travel to the Lair and follow encounter objectives with the group.
- Defeat the boss and claim its available reward.
- Check whether another eligible reward claim remains before repeating or switching activities.
- Confirm reward availability in game before assembling a group; claims may be limited.
- Season 2 also includes Delves, Prey, raids, and Mythic+; choose the activity that matches your gear goal.
Repeat, collect and use
Lair encounters may be replayed, but boss rewards are subject to in-game weekly or seasonal limits. Repeating after the claim is used is for other goals, not guaranteed additional loot.
Common mistakes
- Assuming each kill grants a fresh reward can waste group time; check reward status first.
- Joining a difficulty beyond the group’s capacity can prevent completion; match the encounter to the group.
- Leaving before the boss is defeated forfeits the encounter’s reward chance; complete the fight and claim loot.
When to stop or switch
Stop after using the available reward claim or when the boss no longer serves your progression goal; switch to another eligible Season 2 activity.
