WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

An Overlord boss arena in the open world, selected through the Guidebook or map after its location is unlocked.

Overlord bosses can be fought again after their reward claim is used. Their Echo attempts come from defeating and absorbing the boss, while Waveplates are spent only when claiming the separate boss challenge reward. This makes repeat fights useful when you want to hunt a boss Echo without paying Waveplates each run. Echo outcomes depend on Data Bank progression, so treat each defeat as an attempt rather than a guaranteed drop. Collect the Echoes you want, review their Sonata and main stats in your Echo inventory, and equip useful pieces or use unwanted ones according to your normal Echo management.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock the chosen Overlord boss and its open-world location.
  • Have enough combat strength to defeat it reliably.
  • Raise Data Bank progression if you are targeting higher Echo rarity.
  1. Choose an Overlord Echo that supports a Resonator build you are developing.
  2. Open the Guidebook or map and navigate to that boss’s listed open-world location.
  3. Defeat the boss, then absorb its Echo if one is available.
  4. Check the Echo inventory for the new piece’s Sonata, main stat, and rarity.
  5. If the boss remains available, fight it again; decline the Waveplate reward claim when the goal is Echo hunting only.
  6. Keep pieces that improve a planned set, equip them to the relevant Resonator, and manage the rest in your Echo inventory.

Farming tips

  • Review Data Bank progress before judging your results; it affects Echo outcomes.
  • A boss reward claim and an Echo attempt are separate, so skip the claim when conserving Waveplates.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat open-world fights while the boss is available and you still want its Echo. Defeats do not require Waveplates; claiming the boss challenge reward does. World enemy spawns refresh, so return when the boss is available again.

Common mistakes

  • Spending Waveplates automatically while Echo hunting: decline the reward claim if you only need an Echo attempt.
  • Expecting a guaranteed Echo or rarity: each defeat is an attempt, and Data Bank progression affects outcomes.
  • Farming a boss without a build target: choose a useful Echo and stop when you have a suitable piece.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you obtain a useful piece for the intended build, or switch to another boss or activity if the desired Echo is not appearing.
