Lesson in Sunset Forgery Challenge in Etching Plains; other Rectifier Forgery Challenges may also supply String materials.
Lesson in Sunset is a Forgery Challenge route for String-line Forte materials used by Rectifier Resonators such as Hsin. Match the challenge to the material tier you need, clear it, then spend Waveplates for the reward. Higher difficulty tiers are needed for the higher String materials, so choose the hardest stage your team can complete reliably and measure progress against the Forte screen.
Unlock Forgery Challenges and the Etching Plains stage.
Have Waveplates to claim challenge rewards.
Identify which Spliced, Broken, Solidified, or Melodic String tier the Forte upgrade requires.
Bring a team that can reliably clear the selected difficulty.
Open the Forgery Challenge menu or Guidebook and select Lesson in Sunset.
Review the reward preview for the String material tiers available at each difficulty.
Compare the preview with the target Resonator’s Forte upgrade screen and select the tier that addresses the current shortfall.
Enter the challenge and defeat the enemies using the stage’s displayed objectives.
Claim the reward with Waveplates once the clear is complete.
Check inventory and use Synthesis where appropriate if the upgrade requires a higher String tier than the claim supplied.
Repeat the matching stage while the Forte materials remain short; stop to recheck the upgrade screen between batches.
Farming tips
Hsin’s Rectifier Forte uses Spliced, Broken, Solidified, and Melodic Strings; the high-tier Melodic String is tied to higher difficulty tiers.
Lahai-Roi Supply Packs and Synthesis are additional sources listed for String materials, so check existing stock before spending Waveplates.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable with Waveplates. You can choose another difficulty or a different Rectifier Forgery Challenge if its reward preview better fits the missing tier.
Common mistakes
Selecting a stage by its name alone: inspect the reward preview for the exact String tier first.
Choosing a difficulty that cannot be cleared consistently: use the highest reliable tier rather than risking wasted time.
Claiming after the Forte target is complete: recheck the character’s needs and redirect Waveplates.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the planned Forte ranks have enough of every required String tier, or switch to another listed source if the remaining tier is not efficient at this stage.
