Gatherer and Tarp tools change Dew Collector collection rate and daily capacity, letting you tune a water station around its output limits.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The dedicated tool slots of a placed Dew Collector at a base or utility area.
Use this setup when collected water is limiting your supply. Gatherer improves collection rate and Tarp increases capacity. Match the upgrades to the collector’s displayed tool slots and inspect its inventory during your normal water collection route.
A Gatherer tool or a Tarp tool; choose one configuration to assess.
Empty Water Jars and inventory space for collected output.
Open the collector inventory and inspect its dedicated tool slots.
Decide whether collection rate or daily capacity is limiting your supply.
Install a Gatherer if improving collection rate is the priority for this collector.
Use a Tarp when additional capacity is useful, and inspect the collector to confirm which upgrades are installed.
Load Empty Water Jars into the collector.
Allow the configured collector to operate, then return and inspect its output.
Collect filled jars, restock empty ones, and assess whether the selected tool addresses the shortfall.
Farming tips
Change from one configuration to the other only after identifying which limit is affecting your supply.
Keep stored water in reserve while assessing output; collection takes time.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the collection and restocking loop while the collector is in use: take filled jars and return empty ones. The tools adjust collection rate or capacity; they do not make the jar loop unnecessary.
Common mistakes
Assuming Gatherer and Tarp fit together: use one at a time unless the live collector inventory confirms otherwise.
Choosing a tool without identifying the constraint: try Gatherer for collection rate or Tarp for daily capacity.
Expecting tools to remove jar upkeep: keep empty jars available and collect filled output before capacity is reached.
When to stop or switch
Keep the selected configuration once it meets your routine water needs. Switch to the other single-tool setup if your limiting factor changes from collection rate to daily capacity, or vice versa.
