WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Trader compounds found across biomes in standard PC survival worlds.

Trader compounds provide a place to exchange Dukes for available stock and pick up jobs that reward successful completion. Compounds are biome-specific, and their stock should be checked in game because availability can vary. Use a trader visit to address a concrete shortage or take a job matched to your equipment.

How to farm

Before you go

  • A discovered trader compound.
  • Dukes if you plan to purchase items.
  • Weapons, healing, and inventory space if accepting a job.
  1. Travel to a trader compound and enter during its accessible hours.
  2. Review the stock for materials or equipment that solve a current need.
  3. Compare the cost with your Duke supply and buy only what fits your plan.
  4. Check the available jobs and choose a named POI you can handle.
  5. Travel to the quest site, activate its marker, and complete the objective.
  6. Return to the trader to collect the quest reward and review job progression.
  7. Store purchases and rewards at base, then identify the next shortage before revisiting.

Farming tips

  • Trader compounds are biome-specific, so record useful traders as you discover them.
  • A quest tier that looks rewarding may still exceed your team's gear or healing capacity.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat trader visits as stock and jobs become useful; purchases depend on Dukes and stock availability, while each job is an individual task.

Common mistakes

  • Buying without a need: reserve Dukes for equipment or supplies that support your next goal.
  • Accepting a high-tier job on reputation alone: judge the POI against gear, healing, and team size.
  • Forgetting to return for the reward: complete the objective and revisit the trader to collect it.

When to stop or switch

Stop shopping when Dukes are better saved for a higher priority or leave a quest chain when its next tier exceeds your current readiness.
