WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Statues and mobs along the islands your party reaches inside an Ancient Lands instance.
This route focuses on gathering Spirit Essence during an Ancient Lands expedition rather than advancing island objectives. Essence collected from statues and mobs improves fame gains and effectiveness against mobs for that run. It does not become permanent character progress, so collect it while the expedition remains worthwhile and use the bonus on the fights ahead.
Before you go Enter through an Ancient Lands portal with a party size suited to the portal. Bring a combat set and supplies appropriate to the instance’s loot rules. Agree with the party on how long to stay and when to take an exit. Enter Ancient Lands and check the instance’s current risk before moving inward. As you travel between islands, look for Spirit Essence statues and collect their Essence. Clear mobs on the route and collect any Spirit Essence they provide. Use the run’s increased mob effectiveness to continue clearing at a pace your party can sustain. Keep track of your carried loot and Essence while deciding whether another island is worth the added exposure. If the party reaches a Drake, account for its reliable Essence when weighing the fight against the risk. Leave through an available exit when the expedition’s remaining value no longer justifies staying. Farming tips Treat Essence as a temporary combat and fame bonus; leaving the instance removes your stacks. PvP knockdowns transfer half your Essence to the opposing group and lose the remainder, so factor that into decisions about contested fights. Repeat, collect and use Repeatable on later expeditions, but Essence stacks are run-bound and must be collected again each time.
Common mistakes Counting on Essence to carry over after leaving; use the bonus during the current run. Taking extra fights solely for Essence while carrying loot you are unwilling to risk; reassess and exit when appropriate. Assuming a PvP knockdown only costs half your stack; the opposing group receives half and the rest is lost. When to stop or switch Exit when your party has used the bonus for its intended fights, has enough loot to bank, or judges the remaining Essence gains too risky to pursue.
