The three Fadefields fragments combine into a key that reveals the region’s Primordial Vault and its permanent power-up reward.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

The Howl, Coastal Bonescape and Idolator’s Noose in the Fadefields.

This is a one-time regional collection route, not a renewable material farm. Collect the Howl, Coastal Bonescape and Idolator’s Noose fragments, then travel to the revealed Vault entrance and use the key to begin its Guardian challenge. The key and Vault reward are permanent progression, while the fight can also provide XP.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Reach the Fadefields and unlock regional travel.
  • Reveal fragment traces by completing the relevant local objectives.
  • Have access to climbing and grapple actions needed for the hidden room route.
  1. Open the map and travel to The Howl, northeast of The Launchpad.
  2. Search the cave in the mountain area and collect the fragment from its pedestal.
  3. Fast travel to Stillshore in Coastal Bonescape and find the crate behind a building near the beach.
  4. Travel to Rosemary’s Reserve in Idolator’s Noose.
  5. Find the pipe grate on the side of the building and grapple it open to enter the back room.
  6. Collect the third fragment; the regional Primordial Vault icon should now appear.
  7. Travel to the Vault entrance, insert the key at the pillar and enter the portal to start the Vault quest.

Farming tips

  • Dominion has no Vault fragments, so focus your search on the three listed Fadefields locations.
  • Use the ECHO map’s fragment markers to confirm the local area before searching interiors.

Repeat, collect and use

One-time collection of three fragments and one permanent regional key. The Vault can be revisited for its encounter and XP, but the fragments are not a renewable farm.

Common mistakes

  • Searching Dominion for a fragment: it has no Vault; collect the three Fadefields pieces instead.
  • Leaving without checking the room behind the grate: the Idolator’s Noose piece is indoors.
  • Expecting the key to be an endlessly farmable currency: it unlocks this regional Vault once.

When to stop or switch

Stop fragment hunting when the Fadefields Vault icon appears and the key is assembled. Continue only if you want the Vault Guardian’s permanent power-up, loot or XP.
