Where to farm

Vault Symbols are a separate Kairos collectible route from Vault Key Fragments. Each symbol gives SDU tokens when you interact with it, while finding the complete set finishes the Myth of the Vault challenge for its cosmetic and completion rewards. Use the map’s Vault Symbol filter to sweep one area at a time; symbols appear as you approach and change to completed markers after interaction. Expect elevated walls, cliff faces, caves, vents, and mission-specific rooms, so use the movement tools and nearby traversal routes rather than searching only at ground level. Some symbols sit inside mission-gated locations. This is a finite collection route, useful for SDU progress and the completion reward, rather than a repeatable enemy farm.
Reach the relevant Kairos regions and have the map available.
Use the map’s Vault Symbol collectible filter to track discovered symbols.
Complete any mission that gates a symbol before searching its room.
Open the map and enable the Vault Symbol filter so other activity markers do not obscure the sweep.
Choose one region and travel to its uncompleted Vault Symbol markers, checking the map as nearby symbols reveal.
Look above ground level as well as along cliffs, cave walls, Order installations, vents, and hidden passages.
Use grapples, jump routes, vents, and mission access points to reach symbols that are not on the main path.
Interact with each symbol and verify its map marker changes to completed before leaving the area.
Finish the required missions for symbols inside gated rooms, then return to those locations if needed.
Review the Myth of the Vault challenge and repeat regional sweeps until the challenge completes.
Farming tips
Pairing a symbol sweep with nearby fragment hunting can reduce travel, but the two collectible types have separate progress and rewards.
Some symbols are only accessible during or after named missions; check the mission gate before abandoning a marker.
Repeat, collect and use
Each Vault Symbol is a one-time collectible. Continue through uncollected markers until you have the SDU Tokens you want and, if pursuing completion, the Myth of the Vault reward. Symbols do not respawn for repeated token farming.
Common mistakes
Searching only at ground level misses elevated symbols on cliffs, structures, and cave ceilings; check above and below the map route.
Confusing Vault Symbols with Vault Key Fragments: collect the symbol itself and verify the correct challenge tracker advances.
Leaving a mission-gated symbol behind before completing its required mission: finish the mission gate and return to the marked room.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the SDU upgrades you need are funded or the Myth of the Vault challenge is complete; these collectibles cannot be farmed again after pickup.
