Use repeatable boss respawns for level-scaled loot
Use a known boss reset to pursue fresh equipment as your character progresses. Sledge is a concrete main-campaign target with a documented save-and-quit return; other bosses can have different reset conditions.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Headstone Mine in Rust Commons West, at the end of the route where Sledge is encountered.
This is a targeted progression loop built around Sledge in Headstone Mine, not a promise that every Pandora boss resets the same way or scales identically. Defeat Sledge, inspect the equipment, and decide whether another attempt is useful for your current build. When you want another roll, save and quit, continue the character, and return to the mine. Compare each item’s level and performance with what you already use. The named drop is not guaranteed, so treat each run as a chance to improve your kit rather than a scheduled reward. The broader loot map can help identify other boss locations, but confirm an individual encounter’s reset behavior before making it your plan.
Bring a loadout and ammunition sufficient for the mine and Sledge.
Keep inventory room for possible equipment upgrades.
Travel to Headstone Mine and follow the route through the area.
Defeat enemies that block the way to the end of the mine.
Fight Sledge and inspect his drops after the encounter.
Compare each item with your current gear, keeping upgrades and selling or leaving unwanted items.
If another attempt could help your build, save and quit to the title screen.
Continue the same character and travel back to Headstone Mine.
Repeat the fight and evaluate the new equipment before committing to another run.
Farming tips
Use item level and performance for your build to judge an upgrade; rarity alone is not enough.
If you choose a different boss, first verify its own return conditions rather than assuming Sledge’s reset applies.
Repeat, collect and use
Sledge can be attempted again by saving and quitting, continuing, and returning to Headstone Mine. This does not guarantee a particular item or identical scaling on every drop.
Common mistakes
Treating all bosses as if they share one reset rule: use this specific Sledge loop or confirm another target’s behavior.
Keeping every rare item automatically: compare how it performs for your character.
Repeating without a gear goal: choose a target or stop when the rewards no longer help.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have a useful upgrade or further runs no longer improve your equipment. Switch to another activity if the mine trip or fight has become poor value for your character.
