Crawmerax requires the Knoxx DLC
The encounter is in Crawmerax’s Lair in Deep Fathoms and requires The Secret Armory of General Knoxx plus the mission unlock. Plan for the boss’s weak point and minions with different elemental vulnerabilities.

The first Borderlands uses respawning bosses and loot chests rather than the later games’ broad dedicated-drop systems. Crawmerax and the General Knoxx Armory are challenging DLC endgame routes, while the main campaign offers repeatable bosses and level-scaled containers. Chest routes and boss resets support equipment collection across playthroughs.

The Armory has a timed looting window
During Armory Assault, use the lifts and control panels to reach cache levels, and prioritize valuable cases before the countdown runs out. This route depends on progressing the Knoxx DLC to that mission.

Vault chests can be reset separately from the Destroyer
In GOTY Enhanced, travel from the Vault to an installed DLC map before saving and exiting; after continuing, return to the Vault for the chests. This loop resets the chests, not the Destroyer encounter.
