WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Deep Fathoms, in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. The Crawmerax Lair ramp is in the southwest, west of the red energy bridge.
This is a Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC farm for players ready to fight Crawmerax and his supporting creatures. Expect a challenging encounter and a mix of loot to inspect, equip, or sell. The fight rewards deliberate aim and adapting to enemy types; a single damage setup is not equally useful against every target.
Own The Secret Armory of General Knoxx and unlock the Crawmerax mission.
Bring a weapon that can hit Crawmerax’s exposed weak point.
Carry elemental options for the different minion types.
Leave inventory space for weapons and other drops.
Travel to Deep Fathoms from The Crimson Tollway.
Drive to the southwest portion of the map and locate the highway ramp west of the red energy bridge.
Take the ramp to the Crawmerax Lair entrance and enter the arena.
Call the lift to start the encounter.
Aim at Crawmerax’s glowing weak point when it is exposed and keep moving to avoid attacks.
When minions appear, identify their types and switch to damage suited to the enemy rather than using one element indiscriminately.
After defeating the boss, check the arena floor and collect wanted gear before leaving.
Farming tips
Prioritize accurate shots on exposed weak points; bringing several weapons does not help if they cannot connect.
Pick up useful drops during safe openings, then make a final sweep after the fight so items are not overlooked.
Repeat, collect and use
The encounter can be repeated by leaving the Lair map and rejoining it. Each successful fight creates another opportunity to inspect boss and minion drops; no particular item is guaranteed.
Common mistakes
Entering without the Knoxx DLC or mission unlock: complete the expansion progression first.
Using one element against every minion: identify the enemy and adapt your weapon choice.
Leaving without checking the arena: sweep the ground for drops before exiting.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have a weapon or other upgrade that improves your build, or when the fight costs more time and ammunition than the gear is worth. Revisit after your equipment or level improves.
