Collect loot from Crawmerax’s minions
Crawmerax’s Lair, accessed from Deep Fathoms in the Knoxx DLC.
Before you go
- Own the Knoxx DLC and unlock the Crawmerax encounter.
- Carry weapons that can address different minion vulnerabilities.
- Leave inventory space for drops.
Farming steps
- Enter Crawmerax’s Lair and start the encounter by calling the lift.
- Watch for minions and identify their types before selecting an elemental weapon.
- Attack their exposed weak areas where possible and avoid wasting shots on resistant damage.
- Defeat a minion, then collect its visible drops when the area is safe.
- Repeat for the other minions that appear during the encounter.
- Finish the fight against Crawmerax and sweep the arena for the boss’s drops.
- Keep wanted gear, then sell or discard unwanted items before another run.
- Do not assume that one elemental type is effective against all minions; adjust after identifying the target.
- Collect during safe pauses and make a final ground sweep after the boss falls.
Repeat, collect and use
Minion loot can be collected during each Crawmerax encounter. To get another set of encounter drops, leave and rejoin the Lair map to fight again; specific items are not guaranteed.
Common mistakes
- Ignoring minions while focusing only on the boss: they have their own drops, so check them when safe.
- Using the same damage against every type: match your weapon choice to the enemy’s vulnerability.
- Leaving immediately after the boss dies: collect the minion and boss drops before exiting.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the upgrades or saleable loot you need, or when the fight becomes too costly. Resume this collection objective on a later boss run if desired.
