WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Janey Springs’ Grinder in her Concordia workshop.

This is a gear-processing route for players who already have two spare Legendary weapons and want a Legendary weapon of a particular class. The purple weapon sets the resulting weapon class, but the result itself is random. The Grinder consumes its inputs, so treat every attempt as a trade of valuable gear for a chance at a better fit.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete Janey Springs’ Grinders side mission to unlock the machine.
  • Bring two Legendary weapons you are willing to consume.
  • Bring one purple weapon of the weapon class you want as the result.
  • Keep the input levels aligned if you want to avoid a result being dragged down by a lower-level item.
  1. Travel to Concordia and go to Janey’s workshop.
  2. Review your inventory and set aside only expendable inputs.
  3. Place two Legendary weapons and one purple weapon of the desired class in the Grinder.
  4. Check that the purple weapon is the class you actually want to receive.
  5. Choose a regular Grind unless you also want to spend Moonstones for a Moonstone Grind.
  6. Activate the machine and collect the generated Legendary.
  7. Inspect its level, parts, and effect before deciding whether to keep it.

Farming tips

  • The purple weapon determines the output’s base weapon class, not its exact model or performance.
  • Save Moonstones for attempts where Luneshine or a higher rarity outcome is worth the extra currency.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable as long as you have another valid set of inputs. Each use consumes the three items; this is not a free reroll.

Common mistakes

  • Putting in a purple weapon of the wrong class sends the result toward the wrong weapon type; verify the input before activating.
  • Using valued Legendaries can destroy gear you later want to use; reserve only duplicates or unwanted pieces.
  • Assuming the output is guaranteed to be a specific named Legendary leads to disappointment; the recipe determines class, not exact item.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the resulting weapon is useful for your build, or switch to a dedicated farm if you need a particular named drop.
