GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Hoe and watering can.
  • Seeds collected from exploration or harvests.
  • Cooking Pot for meals.
  1. Choose a cleared plot near storage and till soil with a Hoe.
  2. Plant each seed in prepared soil and water the planted crops with the watering can.
  3. Check the bed as you return to base and water again when crops need it.
  4. Harvest mature plants, keeping seed returns separate from the ingredients you plan to cook.
  5. Replant seeds promptly so the plot keeps producing while you explore.
  6. Put surplus crops into the Cooking Pot with compatible ingredients to prepare meals.
  7. Store cooked food for long trips and carry a practical amount before exploring or fighting.

Farming tips

  • Keep a small reserve of every seed until the plot has produced a stable supply.
  • Separate seed stock from cooking ingredients so a meal session does not consume your planting supply.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable while seeds and plantable space remain; harvests are not guaranteed to return every seed, so keep collecting seeds when exploring.

Common mistakes

  • Cooking every crop immediately: retain seeds and ingredients for future planting.
  • Planting more rows than you can maintain: keep the first plot manageable and expand when its returns justify it.
  • Leaving the bed untended: check and water crops as part of routine base visits.

When to stop or switch

Harvest enough for your next cooking or crafting need, then pause expansion when storage or watering becomes a chore; resume when food reserves fall.
