WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Inventory or stash item management, after collecting eligible weapons or clothing from activities.
Looting only creates a useful component supply when you process the gear you do not need. Gather surplus weapons and eligible items from gigs, NCPD hustles, and Dogtown airdrops, then dismantle them from inventory. The component tier is tied to the selected item and shown in the interface; there is no single fixed yield for every piece of equipment. This is a collection-and-processing loop, not a way to obtain unlimited gear at one location.
Before you go Have surplus dismantle-eligible gear from jobs, hustles, or airdrops. Review Iconics, build equipment, and items you may want to sell before processing. Know the crafting or upgrade component tier you are trying to build up. Collect equipment during an activity that already serves your job, loot, or exploration goal. Open inventory or stash item management and review the new items individually. Keep Iconics, build pieces, and gear whose sale value matters more than its components. Select an unwanted eligible weapon or item and inspect the displayed dismantle result. Confirm dismantling to convert that gear into the listed component type. Repeat only with surplus items that do not serve another purpose. Open crafting or upgrade menus and use the resulting components on the intended item. Farming tips Use the item screen’s displayed return rather than assuming all weapons yield the same tier or amount. Process loot in batches after activities so you can compare sale value and component needs. Repeat, collect and use Repeat whenever new surplus gear is collected. Each item is consumed once, and the supply depends on finite or ongoing activity loot.
Common mistakes Dismantling an Iconic or build item by mistake: verify the item identity before confirming. Dismantling gear that would be more useful sold: compare value against your component goal. Expecting a fixed return: use the component breakdown shown for each selected item. When to stop or switch Stop dismantling once the relevant component tier reaches your crafting need or when remaining items are more valuable to keep or sell.
