WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Dogtown. Watch for red smoke and listen for the aircraft and the cache’s beeping signal.
Pit Bull is listed among the six recurring Dogtown airdrop Iconics. The route is the same repeatable cache activity used for the other pool weapons: activate airdrops, reach level 41, follow the cues, and inspect each cache. The pool is not a promise that Pit Bull will appear in a particular crate. Fixed-placement Dogtown Iconics follow separate logic, so first make sure this is the correct target route.
Own Phantom Liberty and unlock Dogtown airdrops by starting “Lucretia My Reflection” and leaving the hideout.
Reach level 41 for the documented recurring Iconic pool.
Be ready to fight or safely bypass the Barghest cache guards.
Confirm Pit Bull is the weapon you want and that it belongs to the recurring pool rather than a fixed placement.
Explore Dogtown until an incoming aircraft cue signals an opportunity.
Locate the red smoke, then follow the beeping to the supply cache.
Use nearby cover to engage the guards, or move to the cache safely if you can avoid the fight.
Interact with the cache and complete the Breach Protocol prompt if one appears.
Inspect the contents for Pit Bull and collect the weapon if it is there.
If the target is absent, clear the cache, note your progress, and continue through Dogtown for a later drop.
Farming tips
The recurring pool starts at level 41 according to the documented current route.
Secure the cache before leaving its vicinity; an active opportunity can despawn when abandoned.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable across later Dogtown airdrops, but no specific cache guarantees Pit Bull. Each active cache should be treated as a limited opportunity to claim before moving away.
Common mistakes
Expecting every red-smoke drop to have Pit Bull: airdrops have other loot and the target is not guaranteed per cache.
Confusing fixed-placement weapons with pool rewards: check the weapon’s source before repeating the activity.
Walking away before opening the cache: secure the current drop before moving on.
When to stop or switch
Stop once Pit Bull is collected, or switch to its proper fixed-placement source if you determine it is not the target you need.
