WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Use it on any repeatable enemy route, especially Memory of Jeigh at The Place Unbeknownst in Forest of Fallen Giants.
This is an equipment setup for soul farming rather than a separate enemy route. Equip the Covetous Silver Serpent Ring before killing high-value targets such as the Giant Lord, then collect the soul payout and change equipment afterward if you need other defenses. The ring affects souls gained from kills; it does not make enemies respawn, improve item drops, or turn fixed loot into repeatable rewards. Pair it with a route whose risks you can manage without the lost equipment slot.
Have a repeatable route with enemies that award souls.
Keep a defensive alternative available if the ring slot is needed for survival.
Choose the route you can complete consistently, such as the Giant Lord memory after unlocking it.
Before engaging enemies, open equipment and place the ring in an accessory slot.
Complete the route and collect the souls awarded for kills; the ring does not require a separate activation.
If a boss soul is also awarded, decide whether to consume that inventory item or keep it for another use.
Return to the bonfire and rest or reset the route using its normal method.
Re-equip defensive accessories before entering a more dangerous area if the ring makes the encounter too risky.
Repeat only while the route remains reliable and its reset cost is worthwhile.
Farming tips
The ring complements a route; it does not fix a difficult fight. A safer setup can yield more over time if it prevents deaths.
On Giant Lord runs, account separately for the boss’s soul item: it must be consumed from inventory to become spendable currency.
Repeat, collect and use
The ring can be worn on every run after it is obtained. The route’s own reset rules still apply; for Giant Lord, each Ascetic permanently raises the linked bonfire intensity.
Common mistakes
Expecting the ring to increase item discovery; it improves soul returns, while random material drops need item-discovery equipment.
Forgetting to equip it before kills; souls already awarded are not retroactively increased.
Keeping it on through a dangerous fight despite repeated deaths; switch to protection when the extra risk costs more than the added souls.
When to stop or switch
Use the ring until you have reached your currency goal or a safer accessory setup is more valuable for the area you are entering.
