Where to farm
Lothric Castle bonfire and the nearby Lothric Knights on the short route outside.
Lothric Knights near Lothric Castle bonfire can drop Sunlight Medals. This offline route also yields souls and other knight drops, but a Medal is not guaranteed on a given kill. Collect the item when it appears and offer it at the covenant altar after reaching your chosen reward threshold. Sunlight co-op victories are an alternative source when available.

How to farm
Before you go
Reach Lothric Castle and activate its bonfire.
Join Warriors of Sunlight if you want covenant rank rewards.
Bring a weapon and healing setup that makes repeated knight fights manageable.
Equip Warriors of Sunlight if you also want to be eligible for online Medal rewards.
Equip any item-discovery gear available to you.
Rest at Lothric Castle bonfire and move toward the nearby knights.
Fight the knights along the short route, separating them when multiple enemies are close.
Check each kill for a Sunlight Medal and collect any that drop.
Return to the bonfire, rest to respawn enemies, and repeat the same route.
When you have enough Medals, offer them at the Warriors of Sunlight altar in the Lothric Castle area.
Farming tips
The three nearby knights make this a convenient combined souls and upgrade-material route, but the covenant drop remains random.
If a cleric is supporting a knight on your route, deal with the support enemy first or draw the knight away.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the bonfire loop for random drops. It has no guaranteed Medal per run; online co-op boss victories while serving the covenant can provide another repeatable source.
Common mistakes
Counting kills as guaranteed offerings: check inventory because each Medal is a random drop.
Forgetting to equip the covenant for online rewards: join Warriors of Sunlight before co-op attempts.
Continuing after reaching the intended rank: turn in the current stack before doing more runs.
When to stop or switch
Stop after collecting the offerings required for the specific reward you want, or change to co-op boss victories if those are faster for you.
