WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Crystal Cave, reached through Duke’s Archives. Follow the crystal paths to the chest and, if useful, engage Crystal Butterflies from safe footing.
Make the chest your main goal: it provides a dependable Blue Titanite pickup once per cycle. Crystal Butterflies are an optional source of additional materials, including a very rare Blue Titanite Slab. Their drops are not guaranteed, so treat them as bonus attempts rather than the basis of your upgrade plan. Blue Titanite is used on the Magic and Enchanted upgrade paths. The cave’s hard-to-see paths make cautious movement essential throughout the collection run.
Bring a weapon or ranged attack that can hit Crystal Butterflies.
Move cautiously across the cave’s difficult-to-see paths.
Optional: equip Item Discovery gear for chance-based enemy drops.
Enter Crystal Cave and orient yourself before crossing any stretch where the path is difficult to see.
Advance slowly along the crystal route, checking your footing before each crossing.
Follow the route to the fixed chest and collect its Blue Titanite.
Check your inventory and note that the chest has been claimed for this cycle.
If you meet Crystal Butterflies, decide whether the possible extra material is worth the risk of fighting them.
Engage only from stable ground, using your chosen weapon or ranged attack.
Check your inventory after each kill. A Blue Titanite Slab is a very rare possible drop, not a guaranteed reward.
Return along the path you used to reach the chest, moving carefully rather than rushing out.
Farming tips
A Butterfly’s Slab reward is added to your inventory automatically, so do not approach a ledge to retrieve it.
Check which upgrade path your weapon uses before collecting more; Blue Titanite serves Magic and Enchanted weapons.
Repeat, collect and use
The chest is a one-time pickup per cycle. Butterfly drops are chance-based, and the available facts do not establish a repeatable respawn loop for these enemies. Do not rest expecting to farm the same kills again; collect the chest, check any Butterfly drops, and use the materials at a blacksmith for the matching upgrade path.
Common mistakes
Returning to the chest after resting to collect it again: it is a fixed pickup, so count it as claimed for the current cycle.
Planning around a guaranteed Butterfly Slab: check each result and treat the Slab as very rare.
Rushing across hard-to-see paths or chasing a drop near a ledge: slow down and rely on the automatic inventory reward.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the chest’s Blue Titanite meets your current upgrade need. Continue only for a safe Butterfly drop attempt if you still need materials; switch to another supported source if the cave’s footing makes further attempts too risky.
