Where to farm
Lower New Londo Ruins, after draining the water, on routes leading toward the Four Kings area.
Darkwraiths in the drained lower ruins of New Londo are a repeatable target for souls and possible Titanite drops. This is a demanding route: ghosts on the way require a way to damage them, and Darkwraiths can punish careless approaches. Keep the circuit short and collect souls and items as you go. If your aim is mainly souls, spend them between runs; if Titanite is also useful, check every drop rather than assuming each enemy will provide a material.
Obtain the Covenant of Artorias or otherwise meet the requirements to access the lower route safely.
Drain the water from New Londo Ruins.
Bring Transient Curses or a cursed weapon to hit ghosts on the approach.
Use a weapon and defense that can handle Darkwraiths.
Start from a bonfire that gives you a reliable return route to New Londo.
Use a Transient Curse or cursed weapon before engaging ghosts that block the route.
Approach a Darkwraith carefully and draw it away from other enemies where possible.
Defeat the Darkwraith, collecting its souls and checking for Titanite drops.
Continue only through the enemies you can clear safely, then retrace the route.
Return to a bonfire and rest to reset the enemies before another run.
Farming tips
Item Discovery helps with enemy item drops; it does not increase the souls awarded for a kill.
Keep a safe retreat path and avoid fighting multiple Darkwraiths in a confined passage.
Repeat, collect and use
Darkwraiths respawn after resting, so their soul and material drops can be farmed repeatedly. Titanite Chunk drops are possible; slabs are exceptionally rare.
Common mistakes
Entering without a way to hit ghosts: bring a Transient Curse or a cursed weapon before starting the loop.
Treating a slab as a normal expected drop: use this route for repeatable enemies and regard a slab as an unlikely bonus.
Running too far into New Londo with unspent souls: bank the gains before attempting the more dangerous sections.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough souls or Titanite Chunks for the immediate goal; for a slab, consider the guaranteed Stray Demon reward first if it remains unclaimed.
