Outer Circle boss defeats raise the shop’s item quality ceiling as the run advances. The documented progression makes Rare items available after the Necromancer, Epic after the Baron’s Hands and Mythic after Dracula. This creates a useful checkpoint loop: defeat bosses, inspect the shop, and buy only equipment that improves the active build.
Before you go Unlock Outer Circle and have access to the in-run shop. Build to at least one boss checkpoint consistently. Know which equipment improvements would help your current character. Start an Outer Circle run and clear opening waves while shaping a coherent build. Defeat both Baron’s Hands at 7:00, then check the shop’s available items. Continue to the Necromancer at 14:00 if the run is healthy; defeat it and inspect the updated shop. If you can survive the route, defeat Dracula at 20:00 and check the shop again. Compare each item with your current equipment and the needs of the run before spending. At run end, equip useful pieces and use them to improve the next Act 1 or Act 2 attempt. Farming tips The rarity ceiling is unlocked by boss progression; it does not guarantee a useful item in the shop. Inspect after each checkpoint so you can use a worthwhile item before the next boss. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the shop progression in later runs; access to higher rarity is per-run and requires defeating the relevant bosses again.
Common mistakes Assuming the shop must contain a specific item after a boss; availability and usefulness can vary. Leaving the shop without checking after a quality ceiling rises. Spending on rarity alone when the item does not help the current build. When to stop or switch Stop at the deepest boss checkpoint you can reliably defeat; use a stronger shop offering to prepare for the next progression step.
