Biome-specific mineral deposits during Hoxxes dives; upgrades screen and Mineral Market between runs
Permanent upgrades require resources banked from dives. Biome minerals vary with the selected environment, so identify the mineral you need before choosing a mission and mine deposits you encounter while advancing. Finish the dive to retain its run results, then spend the banked material on the upgrade screen or compare its use with the Mineral Market. Selling minerals for Credits can help with a credit shortage, but it competes with upgrade costs.
Identify the permanent upgrade or Credit goal you want to fund.
Select a biome where the needed mineral is available.
Plan to complete the dive so collected resources contribute to between-run progression.
Check which mineral the desired account upgrade requires.
Choose a mission in a biome where that mineral can be found.
During the dive, mine visible deposits as you follow the stage objective.
Prefer deposits on or near the route over risky excursions.
Complete the mission and finish the dive to bank run results.
Open the upgrades screen and compare your balance with the upgrade cost.
Spend the mineral on the intended upgrade, or use the Mineral Market if Credits are the immediate need.

Check the target upgrade cost before selling minerals for Credits.
If you need more than one mineral type, choose missions based on the missing material rather than mining indiscriminately.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat dives until you can afford the intended upgrade. Each deposit is a one-time pickup in that run; mineral farming continues across new dives.

Selling material needed for an upgrade: compare the market option with upcoming costs.
Taking dangerous detours for ore: collect along the objective path and preserve the clear.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the upgrade is affordable and purchase it, or switch to a different biome if the remaining deficit requires a mineral unavailable in the current route.
