Where to farm
Gold veins, lootbugs, Huuli Hoarders and secondary objectives during dives
Gold is a run resource for mid-dive upgrades and rerolls. Mine deposits when they fit your objective path, and take opportunities from lootbugs, Huuli Hoarders, or secondary objectives when available. At the end of the dive, unused Gold converts to XP, so collecting it still has value even if the best upgrade choice does not appear. Use it on the upgrades or rerolls that help you complete the current mission.
Start a dive with Gold deposits or Gold-bearing opportunities available.
Know which mid-dive upgrade or reroll could help your current build.
Leave time to spend Gold before the dive ends if a useful option appears.
Check the mission route for visible Gold veins as you advance.
Mine accessible deposits while maintaining progress toward the stage objective.
Defeat lootbugs or Huuli Hoarders you encounter when doing so is practical.
Complete secondary objectives that award Gold if their requirements fit the run.
At an upgrade choice, compare the available options with your weapon and survival needs.
Spend Gold on a useful general upgrade or reroll rather than saving without a purpose.
Finish the dive; any remaining Gold converts to XP.
Farming tips
Gold has value after the run as XP, so do not risk a clear solely to spend every last unit.
Prioritize deposits near the objective path over distant, hazardous diversions.
Repeat, collect and use
Gold can be collected during each dive. The collection loop repeats, while each individual vein or enemy opportunity is consumed when collected or defeated.
Common mistakes
Saving Gold indefinitely: spend it when a relevant upgrade or reroll appears, since the balance is for that dive.
Ignoring safe Gold because it is not required: unused Gold still converts to XP after the run.
Chasing a distant deposit: protect the mission clear and collect what is practical along the route.
When to stop or switch
Stop detouring for Gold when the objective is at risk or the remaining deposits are far from your path; complete the dive and bank the run.
