Raise gear rarity through Player Rank

Player Rank improves the odds of higher-rarity gear, so routine dives contribute to a longer-term equipment goal.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Any dive with gear drops, followed by the between-dive gear screen

If you want better chances at high-rarity equipment, keep raising Player Rank while collecting gear from dives. Gear ranges from Uncommon to Legendary, and the odds of higher rarity improve as rank rises. This is an odds improvement, not a promise that the next item will be a particular rarity. Gear drops can come from bosses and, less reliably, regular enemies.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Start dives that you can complete reliably.
  • Collect gear when it drops, especially from Elimination Dreadnoughts.
  • Have an unfinished Player Rank progression goal.
  1. Choose a mission you can clear while still making progress on your current objectives.
  2. Complete the main objective and any practical secondary objective shown in the HUD.
  3. Collect visible drops before advancing or extracting.
  4. Finish the dive so its run results contribute to ongoing progression.
  5. Check Player Rank between missions and note whether it has advanced.
  6. Review collected gear, then equip an upgrade that supports your next clear.
  7. Repeat with another manageable mission rather than forcing a difficult sector.

Farming tips

  • Elimination Dreadnought kills guarantee a gear piece, giving you a dependable equipment source while ranking up.
  • Choose a build you can pilot comfortably; failed attempts do not provide a better rarity guarantee.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat dives as long as you want to raise Player Rank and improve high-rarity odds. The process is ongoing; no particular rarity is guaranteed from an individual drop.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting rank to guarantee Legendary gear: rank improves the odds, but individual drops remain uncertain.
  • Ignoring the dive objective while chasing enemies: complete the mission so the run can contribute to your progression.
  • Treating a regular enemy drop as certain: target boss drops when you need a dependable gear pickup.

When to stop or switch

Pause this goal when your rank has advanced and a current item improves your build, then return to rarity farming when you have another useful mission to run.
