WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Mineral Trade Terminal in the Trade sector aboard the Space Rig.
The Mineral Trade Terminal exchanges crafting minerals, which makes it a useful stock-balancing tool when one material blocks an upgrade. It does not create net resources: selling one mineral funds another, and the current exchange price and available stock matter. Check both before confirming and preserve enough of scarce minerals for planned Forge or equipment costs.
Complete the three-mission Company Benefits assignment after Conquering Hoxxes IV to unlock the terminal.
Know which crafting mineral is blocking the upgrade or Forge recipe you intend to fund.
Have surplus stock in a different mineral that you are willing to exchange.
Check the terminal’s current price and inventory before trading.
At the Space Rig, open the Mineral Trade Terminal and inspect the current buy and sell offers.
Look up the crafting cost that is blocking your intended equipment upgrade or Forge action.
Compare your stock of the needed mineral with the terminal’s available amount.
Identify a mineral you can spare without creating a new shortage elsewhere.
Review the displayed exchange price and quantity before selling surplus stock.
Buy only enough of the needed mineral to cover the immediate bottleneck when the terms are reasonable.
Return to the equipment terminal or Forge and spend the acquired mineral on the intended upgrade.
Farming tips
Keep a reserve of commonly used minerals so a trade does not solve one shortage while causing another.
Compare the terminal’s current offer each time; its price and stock can change.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat as needed when the terminal offers a useful exchange and you have surplus stock. This is resource conversion, not a repeatable net-positive farm.
Common mistakes
Selling a mineral without checking upcoming costs may create a second bottleneck; review planned upgrades first.
Assuming any amount is available ignores terminal stock; confirm the offered quantity before planning around it.
Buying just because the offer exists can waste value; trade only to solve a specific crafting need.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the required upgrade or recipe is funded, or when the current exchange is poor or stock is unavailable. Resume after mining more surplus minerals or a better offer appears.
