WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

The active Terror Zone shown in the in-game message and map for your current game; eligible areas vary by difficulty and progression.

Use Terror Zones to keep gaining experience from eligible areas as your character advances. Since a zone’s value depends on how well you can clear it, choose a safe, dense route and switch when the matchup or layout slows you down.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock Terror Zones for the character and difficulty you intend to farm.
  • Reach Hell difficulty for the endgame experience route described here.
  • Bring enough resistances and damage to clear elite packs in the selected zone.
  1. Check the in-game notice to identify the current Terror Zone.
  2. Inspect its map access and consider its terrain and likely immunity problems for your build.
  3. Travel to the zone and clear dense groups, champion packs, and unique monsters.
  4. Collect useful drops as you go; experience comes from kills, so avoid spending too long on low-density stragglers.
  5. If the zone is comfortable, continue clearing while it remains active.
  6. When the layout or immunities stall your pace, move to another available route such as Baal runs.

Farming tips

  • Chaos Sanctuary, Worldstone Keep, and Throne of Destruction are useful choices when active and manageable for your build.
  • Favor steady kills and survival over entering a dangerous zone just because its monster levels are higher.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat whenever a suitable Terror Zone is active; online rotations change, while single-player scheduling differs by mode and patch.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every active zone is equally efficient; switch when density, layout, or immunities slow you down.
  • Treating higher monster levels as a guarantee of better experience per hour; clear speed and survival still matter.
  • Entering without checking difficulty and unlock eligibility; confirm the character can access that Terror Zone.

When to stop or switch

Leave the zone when you are dying often, making little progress through packs, or a better suited route is available.
