Where to farm

The region marked as an active Helltide on the world map; Tortured Gifts appear within that region.

Use this route when you want to turn time in a Helltide into a choice of chest rewards. Cinders come from enemies and chests in the active region, and they are tied to that event. Check the map and chest interaction to see which gifts are available and what each costs; the selection can vary. Pick a slot or material goal before you start so you can spend the currency purposefully.

How to farm

Before you go

Access to Helltides and an active event.
A character that can defeat enemies in the chosen difficulty.
A gear slot or material reward to prioritize.

Open the world map and travel to the active Helltide.
Kill demons and complete nearby events to collect Aberrant Cinders.
Check the map for Tortured Gifts and inspect their current costs and rewards.
Choose a gift that matches your gear slot or material need.
Clear nearby threats if they make it unsafe to interact with the chest.
Collect the chest reward and spend any remaining Cinders before leaving the event.

Farming tips

Local events can add Cinders while advancing the same route; take them when practical.
Check your currency and nearby chest options periodically so you have time to spend what you collect.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat during later active Helltides. Cinders are for the current event and do not form a lasting stockpile, so spend them before leaving or the event ending.

Common mistakes

Saving Cinders for a later event: spend them during the Helltide where you collected them.
Opening a gift without checking its reward: compare the displayed slot or material with your current goal.
Carrying a large reserve into a dangerous fight: visit a suitable chest before taking unnecessary risks.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the Helltide ends or the available gifts no longer match your needs; switch activities if you have spent your Cinders or want a different reward.
