Nightmare Dungeons opened with sigils; Escalating Nightmare Dungeons are another documented option.
Choose Nightmare Dungeons when Obducite is the resource holding back your Masterworking plan. Enter with a Nightmare Sigil, complete the dungeon, and collect the completion rewards. Obducite also comes from Infernal Hordes and Kurast Undercity Tributes, so compare those options when their entry items and rewards suit you better. A reliable clear is more valuable than a difficult sigil that repeatedly leaves the run unfinished.
Access to Nightmare Dungeons and a compatible sigil.
A build that can complete the selected dungeon reliably.
Equipment with a Masterworking goal.
Inspect your available Nightmare Sigils.
Choose a dungeon and affixes your character can handle, noting any useful additional rewards.
Use the sigil to enter the Nightmare Dungeon.
Follow its objectives and clear through the dungeon rather than abandoning the sigil early.
Defeat the encounter required for completion and collect the rewards, including any Obducite awarded.
Apply the material to your planned Masterworking progress.

A fast area-clear build can make repeated completions practical.
Compare Hordes or an applicable Undercity Tribute if their reward mix better fits your current needs.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with another compatible sigil while Obducite remains useful. Sigil rewards vary, so this is a repeatable source rather than a fixed amount per run.
Common mistakes
Leaving before completion: finish the objectives and encounter to receive the run’s completion rewards.
Ignoring sigil affixes: inspect them before entry and avoid effects that undermine your build.
Assuming this is the only Obducite route: use Hordes or Undercity Tributes when they better match your resources and pace.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Obducite for the next Masterworking goal or clears become inefficient; switch to another documented source.
