WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Wildlife habitats across the island; submit captures at an Animal Collection Point.
Animal trapping is a wildlife capture loop, separate from raising livestock. Find a species in its habitat, set a trap for it, then take the captured animal trap to an Animal Collection Point for submission. Captured wildlife is sent to the Research Tent; it does not become a farm animal.
Before you go Animal Handling Licence and an Animal Trap. An Animal Collection Point available on the island. Pick a wild species to look for and identify its habitat. Travel to that habitat and locate the target animal. Place an Animal Trap where the animal can encounter it, following the trap interaction. Check the trap for a capture and collect the captured trap. Carry the captured trap to an Animal Collection Point. Submit the wildlife there to send it to the Research Tent for rewards. Set another trap for a different target or make another capture when ready. Farming tips Use the Animal Collection Point for wild captures; Irwin’s Barn supplies farm livestock in Animal Boxes. Choose a species whose habitat you can reach and check traps while exploring that area. Repeat, collect and use Repeat the capture and submission loop for additional Research Tent rewards. Each capture depends on encountering wildlife and is not guaranteed.
Common mistakes Looking for a separate transport cage adds an unsupported step; carry the captured trap to the collection point. Putting captured wildlife in a livestock pen confuses wildlife research with farming; submit it at the Animal Collection Point. Setting a trap before unlocking the needed handling progression can block the activity; obtain the licence first. When to stop or switch Stop after submitting the target capture or when you have no traps left; resume when you have another trap and a target habitat to visit.
