WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Iron-bearing deposits in the Deep Mine’s lower rooms.
Plan iron gathering around Deep Mine access rather than surface Shiny Stone collection. The mine requires a progression chain and a Mine Pass to descend. Once access is established, enter with a Pickaxe, food, and room for the intended haul; use the elevator’s return input to bring selected finds to the surface.
Mining Licences 1 and 2, followed by the Deep Mining Licence.
Mine Deed obtained through Fletch and completed.
Mine Pass purchased from John for the trip.
Pickaxe, food, and sufficient inventory space.
Purchase Mining Licences 1 and 2, then qualify for the Deep Mining Licence.
Ask Fletch for the Mine Deed and complete the mine construction.
Buy a Mine Pass from John before the trip.
Prepare a Pickaxe, food, and clear inventory space.
Use the elevator console and pass to descend into the Deep Mine.
Explore the lower rooms for iron-bearing deposits and mine the target material.
Use the lift input to return selected finds to the surface.
Farming tips
Treat each descent as a prepared supply trip; the entry pass and inventory capacity matter.
Bring only the tools and food needed for the intended mining session to preserve space.
Repeat, collect and use
Iron gathering is repeatable through Deep Mine entries, but each descent requires its own Mine Pass. Continue only while supplies and inventory allow.
Common mistakes
Trying to enter with only a pass fails the progression chain; obtain the licences and completed deed as well.
Forgetting the Pickaxe prevents effective ore gathering; check equipment before using the elevator.
Filling inventory with unrelated items reduces the haul; clear space before descent.
When to stop or switch
End the trip when you have enough iron for the current project, are low on supplies, or cannot carry further finds safely. Return later with another pass if more is required.
