Duties turn routine Valley activities into Dreamlight that can open access to new biomes. Matching tasks to your unlocked resources helps progress without farming unrelated materials.

Where to farm

The Dreamlight menu for duties and the Dream Castle for biome access.

Use active duties as a short progression plan. Choose tasks whose requested activity and source are available now, gather the named crop, fish, ore, or forage item, and claim the completed reward. Save Dreamlight for a biome gate that gives access to a needed resource or quest route. The menu changes as duties are completed, so review it again after each claim.

How to farm

Before you go

Access the Dreamlight menu.
Have the tools needed for the chosen tasks.
Have Dreamlight available if you plan to open a biome gate.

Open the Dreamlight menu and read the active duty requirements.
Choose a duty that matches a biome and activity already available to you.
Travel to the appropriate source and collect the named material or complete the activity.
Return to the menu and claim the completed duty’s Dreamlight.
Review your next quest or resource goal and identify the biome it requires.
Spend Dreamlight at the Dream Castle to open that biome when it supports your next step.

Farming tips

Check a target item’s biome before spending Dreamlight so the unlock serves a real need.
Claim finished duties before choosing a new task; the menu may offer different objectives afterward.

Repeat, collect and use

Duties are repeatable through changing objectives; continue claiming them when you need Dreamlight for progression.

Common mistakes

Farming a material not named by a duty adds no progress to that task; read the requirement first.
Spending Dreamlight on an unrelated gate can delay access to a needed source; prioritize your current objective.
Forgetting to claim a completed duty leaves its reward uncollected; revisit the menu.
