Fishing Ripples
Colored fishing pools in the water of the biome where the target fish appears.
- Unlock the Fishing Rod.
- Unlock access to the target fish’s biome.
- Have inventory space for catches.
Colored ripple pools are the targeted fishing method for rarer catches. Matching the fish’s biome and pool type avoids spending casts on open water when you need a specific species.

Start with the fish you want, then locate the biome and ripple color associated with it. Equip the Fishing Rod and cast into the matching colored pool. Open water remains useful for basic fish and seaweed, but it is not a substitute for a rare fish’s ripple requirement. Keep quest catches before selling or cooking other fish.
Fish pools and open water support repeated fishing; continue until the requested catch or stock target is reached.
Stop when you have the target fish quantity; switch to open water for basic fish or seaweed if that becomes your goal.
