Rock nodes supply ore and biome-linked gems used for crafting and other goals. Clearing nodes across the right biome is the practical repeatable route to those materials.

Choose a target gem or ore before mining because available materials vary by biome. Travel only through biomes you have unlocked, then use the Royal Pickaxe on the rock spots there. Collect the drops and inspect exposed gem colors as you go. A Mining companion can add role-based bonus drops. After clearing the useful nodes, return to normal play and revisit when the spots refresh.
Rock spots refresh after mining, so return to the target biome later for another collection round.
Stop once your crafting or collection target is met; switch to another biome if the remaining target material is region-specific.
