Cursed gear and purification

Purify armor and gear relics by vocation color

Shape the eligible result pool for Bitterblack Armor and Gear by setting vocation colors before Olra purifies each relic.

PC / Global, Dark Arisen edition with Bitterblack Isle
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Olra at Bitterblack Isle harbor.

Bitterblack Armor and Bitterblack Gear are different relic categories, and each can reveal equipment only after purification. The vocation setup of the Arisen and Main Pawn affects the color pool used for results. This helps narrow the pool but does not guarantee a named armor piece or accessory. Use the service at Olra and treat the displayed RC cost as part of the decision. The route is specific to Dark Arisen’s Bitterblack Isle and applies to the cursed relics collected there.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Collect a Bitterblack Armor or Bitterblack Gear relic.
  • Carry enough Rift Crystals for the indicated tier cost.
  • Set both Arisen and Main Pawn vocations to the desired color alignment before confirming.
  • Have inventory space for the result.
  1. Before speaking to Olra, decide whether your current target is Armor or Gear and identify the vocation color relevant to your build.
  2. Set the Arisen’s vocation accordingly, then set the Main Pawn’s vocation to support the desired pool.
  3. Speak with Olra and select the matching relic category.
  4. Inspect the relic tier and confirm the displayed RC requirement.
  5. If the setup is correct and the cost is acceptable, confirm purification.
  6. Review the revealed equipment’s vocation requirements, defenses, weight, and effects.
  7. Equip or store the result; change vocation alignment before purifying the next relic if your goal changes.

Farming tips

  • Process several relics under one alignment when you are pursuing the same general pool.
  • Use storage for off-vocation results that may suit another vocation or pawn later.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat for each eligible relic. Purification consumes RC and vocation colors influence a pool; neither alignment nor tier guarantees a specific item.

Common mistakes

  • Changing only the Arisen’s vocation and overlooking the Main Pawn’s color contribution; set both before confirming.
  • Mixing Armor and Gear goals; choose the correct relic category in Olra’s menu.
  • Expecting an exact piece from a color setup; inspect each result and adjust your goal if the pool does not suit you.

When to stop or switch

Stop spending on a pool once it no longer serves your build, or when remaining RC is better reserved for a higher-priority relic tier.
