Purify Bitterblack Novelty relics for utility items

Turn Bitterblack Novelty relics into their utility, material, or augment-scroll results through Olra’s purification service.

PC / Global, Dark Arisen edition with Bitterblack Isle
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Olra at Bitterblack Isle harbor.

Bitterblack Novelty relics are distinct from Weapon, Armor, and Gear relics. Purification can reveal materials, tools, or scrolls used to learn augments. That makes Novelties useful when you need a utility item or want to broaden a character’s augment choices, though the result is not selected directly from a menu. Olra charges Rift Crystals, and the relic tier affects cost. Align vocations before confirmation if you are managing purification pools. This route is specific to Dark Arisen’s Bitterblack Isle.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Collect a Bitterblack Novelty relic.
  • Have enough RC for the displayed tier cost.
  • Set the Arisen and Main Pawn vocation alignment before purification if pool selection matters.
  • Make inventory space for materials, tools, or scrolls.
  1. Return to Bitterblack harbor and speak with Olra.
  2. Choose purification and select the Bitterblack Novelty category.
  3. Check the relic tier and displayed Rift Crystal charge.
  4. Set the Arisen and Main Pawn vocations for the pool you want before confirming.
  5. Purify the relic and collect the revealed novelty item.
  6. Inspect whether it is a material, tool, or augment scroll and use or store it accordingly.
  7. If you receive a scroll, review its augment and learn it through the character’s skill interface when eligible.

Farming tips

  • Keep Novelty relics separate from combat gear relics in your inventory planning so you do not spend the wrong category’s budget.
  • Store useful materials until Barroch or another valid service requires them.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat for each Novelty relic you collect and can afford. Results vary by relic and pool, and each purification consumes RC; a specific scroll or tool is not assured.

Common mistakes

  • Selecting Weapon or Gear when the goal is an augment scroll or utility item; choose Novelty explicitly.
  • Expecting to choose a particular result; treat the outcome as a pool and process only when alternatives are acceptable.
  • Selling a material before checking whether it is needed for enhancement; compare it with Barroch’s displayed requirements.

When to stop or switch

Stop purifying Novelties when you have the utility or augment options you need, or when the remaining RC should be reserved for equipment relics.
