Mana and upgrades

Farm mana from map chests

Chests and surplus drops can support defense construction and upgrades when gathered during repeatable map runs.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Glitterhelm Caverns or another campaign or Survival map you can defend consistently.

A map run can supply mana directly through chests and indirectly through equipment you sell or leave unretained. Glitterhelm Caverns is a documented mana and gear route, but choose any map you can clear reliably. Collect available resources during build phases, finish waves safely, and spend the proceeds on a defined next improvement.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Unlock the selected map and choose a manageable difficulty.
  • Bring defenses that can complete the map’s waves.
  • Have inventory space for useful equipment found alongside mana.
  1. Select a map you can reliably finish; use Glitterhelm if it is available and suits your build.
  2. During a build phase, locate and open accessible chests before combat begins.
  3. Collect the mana and use it to establish the defenses required for the current wave.
  4. Complete waves and gather equipment that could replace or improve current gear.
  5. Between waves, collect valuable floor drops and avoid leaving promising items behind.
  6. After the mission, return to the Tavern and sell unwanted gear to add to your mana supply.
  7. Use the accumulated mana for a specific weapon upgrade or defense build, then run again if needed.

Farming tips

  • Do not spend all chest mana on shop equipment before checking mission drops.
  • A safe map clear is more useful than a harder run that loses crystals or leaves loot uncollected.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the map-and-forge cycle as often as useful; chest contents and gear value vary, so no fixed yield is guaranteed.

Common mistakes

  • Rushing past accessible chests: gather them during the build phase.
  • Keeping weak drops that crowd inventory: retain upgrades and sell the rest.
  • Calling one chest route guaranteed income: combine collected resources with reliable wave completion and surplus sales.

When to stop or switch

Stop once you have enough mana for the next meaningful upgrade, or switch maps if the current run is no longer efficient for your build.
