WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The Summit Survival or Pure Strategy in original Dungeon Defenders after its Campaign clear.
The Summit is a listed source for the Baby Ancient Dragon pet in Pure Strategy farming. This is a map-specific reward goal, so check The Summit’s reward information for the qualifying wave and mode before starting. Complete the map’s Campaign mission to unlock extended modes. Pure Strategy disables hero attacks in combat, so your defenses must carry the run. Reach the listed milestone and collect the reward chest to obtain the pet roll.
Clear The Summit Campaign to unlock the map’s Survival and Pure Strategy modes.
Check The Summit reward listing for the Baby Ancient Dragon wave.
Start at least two waves before the pet milestone; qualifying pet rewards begin at wave 15.
Open The Summit from the map selector and choose Survival or Pure Strategy.
Check the reward listing for the Baby Ancient Dragon milestone in the mode you selected.
Choose a difficulty your defenses can sustain through that wave.
Build coverage for the Summit lanes and ensure crystals are protected before combat starts.
Advance waves while watching defenses and repairing between rounds.
Complete the listed pet reward wave without allowing the run to fail.
Open the reward chest, assess the Baby Ancient Dragon’s stats, and decide whether another roll is useful.
Farming tips
Pure Strategy prevents hero attacks during combat; plan for defense damage to handle every wave.
Do not substitute a milestone remembered from another map; use The Summit reward listing.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the milestone run for another pet roll if desired; the pet reward is limited to the qualifying wave within each run, not an unlimited per-wave drop.
Common mistakes
Entering Survival without having cleared The Summit Campaign: unlock that map first.
Starting fewer than two waves before the target: leave enough run-up for the pet requirement.
Continuing past weak defense warnings: repair or lower difficulty before the run collapses.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the pet’s stats suit your intended use or when the effort of reaching the milestone no longer justifies another roll.
