Orbital Collectors provide a source of gas-giant resources for downstream production. Interstellar logistics makes those materials available at a factory that is not on the giant.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A gas giant or ice giant in a reachable system whose resource listing includes the desired gas or other collectible.
Place Orbital Collectors on a gas or ice giant with the resource you need, then request that material through an interstellar station. Resource availability depends on the planet, so confirm the target gas in the star map and configure logistics for the actual output.
Power and warpers for routes that require interstellar travel
Check the star map to confirm the giant has the gas or resource your factory needs.
Unlock and craft Orbital Collectors, then travel to the target giant.
Place collectors in orbit and confirm they are operating.
At a receiving Interstellar Logistics Station, set the desired resource to Remote Demand.
Supply vessels and set up a source-to-destination logistics route for the collector output.
Provide warpers when the vessel route crosses star systems and its settings require them.
Connect the station's filtered belt output to the correct fluid or material processing line.
Farming tips
Collectors gather from the giant; they are not surface Mining Machines and do not need a vein patch.
Check the station output filter and power supply if deliveries arrive but your factory remains empty.
Repeat, collect and use
Orbital collection is ongoing while collectors and the logistics network operate. The loop is collection, vessel pickup, station delivery, and consumption or storage at the factory.
Common mistakes
Choosing a giant without the target resource; verify its resource listing first.
Requesting a material at the factory without a configured source and vessel route; confirm both ends of logistics.
Forgetting warpers for a route configured to warp; keep the interstellar station stocked when required.
When to stop or switch
Stop adding collectors when the receiving line satisfies demand. Add more only if the collector supply or vessel deliveries are the limiting part of the chain.
