Stone and Coal
Separate stone and coal vein patches on the starting planet.
- Mining Machines
- Power connections
- Separate conveyor routes
- Storage or direct production consumers for each material
Stone and coal supply different early production needs. Keeping their mines and belts separate makes it easier to manage construction materials and fuel demand.

Set up independent extraction lines for stone and coal, then send each material to its intended consumers. Both use Mining Machines over veins; the useful farming loop is to monitor each line separately and expand the one that is actually running short.
Extraction continues as long as each patch has veins remaining. Rebuild the relevant line on a new patch when stone or coal runs low.
Stop expanding each mine once its own consumers have a steady supply. Switch to a fresh patch when its current veins are depleted or demand cannot be met.
