WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Odyssey Operations interface; select an available Operation and difficulty, then review the completion result.
Operations can reward engineering materials as well as Merc Coin. The material type and amount depend on the operation’s difficulty, length, and whether its objectives involve ships, on-foot play, or both. That makes Operations a flexible materials source: choose a scenario whose play style and reward mix fit your current upgrade plans, then check the completion panel to see what it actually delivered. Longer or more complex Operations can provide more materials, and hard variants give higher-quality materials than their easy counterparts. Treat those comparisons as guidance, not a fixed payout promise: rewards vary by operation and difficulty. This route is for accumulating materials through successful Operation completions; it does not depend on one named scenario or assume every run pays the same set.
PC Live with Odyssey access and Operations available.
A ship and on-foot loadout appropriate to the selected scenario.
Materials storage space for the rewards you intend to collect.
A specific ship or on-foot upgrade goal to guide scenario selection.
Check the engineering upgrade you are working toward and note whether it uses ship or on-foot materials.
Open the Operations interface and read the objective, scenario type, and available difficulties.
Choose an Operation that matches your ability and provides the scenario type relevant to your material goal.
Prepare the ship, suit, and weapons for every stage listed in the briefing; hybrid Operations require readiness for both modes.
Complete the objectives and confirm the Operation reports success.
Review the result panel and record the engineering materials awarded, including their type and quantity.
Compare the result with your upgrade needs, then select another suitable Operation or return to engineering to apply the materials.
Farming tips
Prioritize reliable completions: a harder difficulty can offer higher-quality materials, but failed runs do not advance your stock.
Hybrid Operations can supply both ship and on-foot materials; check the scenario before choosing if you need one category in particular.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat successful Operations while they remain available and you still need the materials. Rewards vary with scenario and difficulty, so inspect each result rather than treating the loop as a fixed recipe or guaranteed payout.
Common mistakes
Choosing by difficulty alone; match the scenario’s ship, on-foot, or hybrid material profile to the upgrade you are pursuing.
Assuming every Operation grants the same materials; read each completion panel and adjust your next selection.
Taking a hard scenario with an unprepared loadout; choose a difficulty your ship and suit can handle consistently.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your planned upgrades have the required materials, or switch to a scenario whose reward type better matches the materials still missing.
