WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Stone patches and mineable rocks on Nauvis.
Mine a Nauvis stone patch for sustained supply, or collect nearby rocks for a limited immediate need. Furnaces convert stone into bricks used in construction, including rails and landfill.
Before you go A drill for a patch or access to rocks for hand mining. Fuel or power for drills. Furnaces and a route for stone and brick output. Choose a stone patch for ongoing production, or gather accessible rocks for a small amount. Place drills so their mining areas touch the patch and provide fuel or power. Route stone to furnaces when bricks are the target output. Collect bricks on a separate belt or in a chest. Send bricks to rail, landfill, or construction demand as needed. Keep a modest buffer near the active construction line. Add drills or another patch if the buffer empties faster than it refills. Farming tips Rocks can supplement a patch when only a limited quantity is needed. Leave access to patches when planning factory expansion. Repeat, collect and use Patch mining continues until the deposit is exhausted; hand collection from rocks is limited to available rocks.
Common mistakes Sending raw stone where bricks are required; smelt it first. Using the whole supply for construction without considering other demand; maintain an appropriate buffer. Expecting rocks to replenish; use drills for ongoing production. When to stop or switch Stop expanding when the brick buffer covers current construction demand; seek another patch if it cannot refill.
