WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Uranium patches on Nauvis.

Nauvis uranium has a distinct extraction chain: electric mining drills need sulfuric acid, and centrifuges process the ore into two isotopes. Keep both outputs separate so you can direct them to planned uses.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Powered electric mining drills.
  • Sulfuric acid piped to the drills.
  • Centrifuges and separate isotope collection routes.
  1. Research uranium processing and locate a Nauvis uranium patch.
  2. Place electric drills so their mining areas touch the uranium.
  3. Connect sulfuric acid to each drill’s fluid input and provide power.
  4. Route mined ore to centrifuges configured for uranium processing.
  5. Collect U-235 and U-238 separately.
  6. Buffer the isotopes for the fuel or ammunition recipes you intend to use.
  7. Check acid, power, and output capacity if mining or processing stops.

Farming tips

  • The ore’s green glow can help identify patches at night.
  • Drills require acid; burner drills and hand mining cannot extract uranium.

Repeat, collect and use

Continuous while the patch, power, acid, and processing capacity remain available.

Common mistakes

  • Using burner drills or omitting acid; supply powered electric drills with acid.
  • Sending uranium to furnaces; centrifuges process it.
  • Combining isotope outputs; keep separate routes and stores.

When to stop or switch

Expand or relocate when the patch, acid supply, or transport can no longer keep the centrifuges supplied.
