Where to farm
Collectable Appraisers and Rowena’s Scrip Exchange in major hubs; gather accepted Dawntrail items from their listed nodes, including timed nodes when applicable.
Earn orange Gatherers’ Scrips by collecting items accepted by the current Collectable Appraiser, then exchange the currency for a planned purchase such as materia or another available gathering good. Dawntrail rarefied items from timed nodes are one possible source, but turn-in availability changes. Start each session at the appraiser rather than assuming a familiar item remains the best target. Its interface shows the reward for each collectability tier.

How to farm
Before you go
Unlock collectables through The Better Half and Inscrutable Tastes.
A Botanist or Miner at the level required for the selected item.
Access to the item’s zone and home World status for timed nodes.
Visit the Collectable Appraiser and review current accepted Miner and Botanist items.
Choose an accepted target that fits your level, zone access, and node schedule.
Check the Gathering Log and note the Eorzean-time window if the target is timed.
Use collectable actions to reach a worthwhile reward tier, checking predicted value as you go.
Gather the amount needed and reserve materials intended for recipes.
Submit designated collectables at the appraiser and check your orange scrip balance.
Visit Rowena’s Scrip Exchange and buy the specific listed gathering good you planned.
Farming tips
Use the live appraiser listing as your target selector; accepted turn-ins rotate.
Check currency caps and exchange menus before a long run so you do not gather beyond a useful balance.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the gather, appraise, and exchange cycle whenever you need orange scrips. Individual targets remain constrained by node windows and current acceptance.
Common mistakes
Farming a familiar item without checking whether it is listed; confirm acceptance first.
Submitting materials needed for a craft; reserve recipe quantities before turn-in.
Buying without checking the current exchange offerings; count the cost of a specific purchase first.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the planned purchase is funded or you reach the currency cap. Spend currency or switch to crafting stock before earning more.
