Additional powered machines increase the load on your network. Expanding generation in response to observed demand keeps mining and processing from being limited by an unnoticed power shortage.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
At the generators and power network serving the mine, smelters, and other factory equipment.
Check the network and the machines that are actually stalling before building more generation. Add a compatible supply where it can serve the intended equipment, then watch the affected line and expand again only if the network remains the constraint.
A generator and power equipment unlocked in the current build
Access to the fuel or material supply required by that generator
A visible network connection to the machines being assessed
Machines whose operation can be checked after the change
Identify the miner, smelter, or other machine that is stopping or failing to operate.
Inspect its connection and the network load before changing generation.
Check that the generator has the fuel or input it requires.
Plan a connection from the supply to the machines that need additional power.
Add compatible generation or network capacity using equipment available in the current build.
Reconnect or extend the network and confirm the affected machines operate.
Observe the line under normal use before making another expansion.
Farming tips
Keep power supply and machine groups easy to inspect so a single stalled line is not mistaken for a whole-network shortage.
Check fuel or generator inputs as well as electrical connections.
Repeat, collect and use
Power expansion can be repeated as demand grows, provided suitable generation and inputs are available. Recheck the network after each added group of machines.
Common mistakes
Building another generator without confirming a power problem may not fix an empty fuel input; inspect both supply and connection.
Extending power to the wrong machine group leaves the original bottleneck in place; trace the stalled machine's network.
Adding multiple loads before checking operation makes diagnosis difficult; expand and observe in manageable stages.
When to stop or switch
Stop adding capacity when the target machines operate reliably and the network is no longer the observed constraint. Revisit the setup if new loads cause stalls.
