WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Around the Rake, Haze perimeter, and upper yard, where Bombardier Beetles roam.

Bombardier Beetles can be found near the Rake, around the Haze perimeter, and in upper-yard areas. Isolate one, manage its ranged acid attack, then collect the drop and analyze unfamiliar parts. Treat the gland as a possible recipe input rather than assuming each beetle provides a guaranteed amount.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A Tier II weapon suitable for the fight.
  • Healing items.
  • Enough open space to dodge the acid attack.
  1. Check the Rake or Haze edge for a Bombardier Beetle.
  2. Choose a spot away from other hostile creatures and approach with room to dodge.
  3. Engage the beetle while watching for its ranged acid attack.
  4. Move out of the attack area instead of staying still to exchange hits.
  5. Defeat the beetle and collect the drop pile.
  6. At a Field Station, analyze the first unfamiliar part or gland to reveal available recipes.
  7. Use the parts or Boiling Gland for recipes that require them, including Bratburst explosives when unlocked.

Farming tips

  • Healing helps cover mistakes during the acid attack; do not start the encounter with low health.
  • Check the recipe before farming extra glands so you do not carry more than you can use.

Repeat, collect and use

Find another beetle on a later pass and repeat as needed; drops are not a fixed guaranteed quantity per encounter.

Common mistakes

  • Fighting in a crowded spot: pull the beetle away from nearby threats first.
  • Ignoring the acid attack: keep moving and use open ground to dodge.
  • Expecting every drop to be present: check the pile and repeat only if the recipe still lacks materials.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have the parts and glands your next recipe needs; switch to safer resource gathering if healing is depleted.
